Marion W. Doggett, 71, died June 19, 2017, at Hawkeye Care Center in Marshalltown following a short illness. A lifelong resident of Marshalltown, he was born August 30, 1945 to Albert E. and Lura Thompson Doggett. He was a 1964 graduate of Marshalltown Community High School and furthered his education at Marshalltown Community College and the University of Northern Iowa. He was well-known in the community for his support of Marshalltown High School and the University of Iowa athletics. He was a passionate supporter of the Democratic Party. Preceding Marion in death were his parents and a brother, LeRoy. Memorial and inurnment services were held at Riverside Cemetery on September 23, 2017.
