DARLINGTON/APPLE RIVER, ILL. ---Delores B. Charlton, age 94, of Darlington, Wisconsin, and formerly of Apple River, Illinois, died on Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at the Lafayette County Manor. Delores was born September 26, 1905, in Apple River, Illinois, to Leo W. and Nora J. (Beall) Charlton. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa, then known as Iowa State Teachers College. She taught physical education in the Marshalltown School System. When she retired she moved back to Apple River and then to Darlington. She was a former member of Apple River Presbyterian Church, the First United Methodist Church and the Darlington Country Club. She is presently a member of the Darlington Methodist Church and the Darlington Eastern Star. Survivors are her brother, Peck (Ruth) Charlton of Darlington; her nephew Jim Charlton of Chicago, Illinois; her niece, Jane Charlton of Cross Plains; and many cousins and friends. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2000, at the WEST ELLA HIGHLAND CEMETERY in Monticello Township, Wisconsin, with Rev. C. Phillip Burt officiating. The STEIL CAMACHO FUNERAL HOME, Darlington is serving the family.
