Services for Kenneth R. Ware, 74 of Newton, formerly of Marshalltown, who died Sunday morning at Skiff Medical Center in Newton of complications of diabetes, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church in Newton. Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery. Born in Des Moines on April 11, 1914, he was the son of Clyde and Ella Ware. He attended Marshalltown schools. He was self-employed, operating the Petit Cleaners in Newton from 1943 to 1973, when he retired. He married Theresa Dankbar on April 22, 1936 in Marshalltown. Mr. Ware was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, Elks Lodge 1270 of Newton, a past member of the Knights of Columbus and the Newton Chamber of Commerce. Preceding him in death were parents, a son, Thomas, four brothers and a sister. Survivors include his wife, Theresa of Newton, and a grandson, Douglas Patrick Ware and a brother Edward, of Des Moines, as well as several nieces and nephews.
