HOMER WARE DIES THURSDAY OF LEUKEMIA

Homer G. Ware, 58, 1009 Turner St., died at his home Thursday morning following an extended illness of leukemia. Born April 5, 1901, at Ottumwa, he was the son of Clyde V. and Ella Anthony Ware. When he was young the family moved to Des Moines and later to Marshalltown where he completed his education and had since resided. ON NOV. 2, 1922, he was married to Alice Pierce of New Providence and they always made their home in Marshalltown. His wife died in 1948. Also preceding him in death was a four-year-old son, his father and a brother. Surviving are his mother, a son and two daughters, Robert E. Ware in the U.S. Air Force stationed at Lackland Air Base, San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Melvin Moody of Marshalltown and Mrs Herbert Mooar of Kansas City, Mo. ALSO SURVIVING are five grandchildren, four brothers and a sister, Merle and Cecil Ware both of Marshalltown, Kenneth of Newton, Edward of Des Moines and Mrs. Miles Cox, of Aurora, Ill. Arrangements are pending at the Estel=Perrin Funeral Home.
