The Register's Iowa news ServiceMARSHALLTOWN, IA. - Services for Warren D. Eyre of Marshalltown will be at 10 a.m. today at the Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home Chapel here, with burial at Sheller Cemetery near Wellsburg. Mr. Eyre, 80, died of a heart ailment Saturday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.
Mr. Eyre was born in Buckley, Ill., and had lived in Grundy Center for many years before moving to Marshalltown in 1983. He was a retired horse trainer a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Grundy Center American Legion, the Center Street Baptist Church and the Horseman Hall of Fame.
Survivors include his wife, Marlys; a brother, Lloyd of Buckley, III.; and a sister, Myrtle Schneided of Melvin, Ill. ~ The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, Iowa Tues 20 Aug 1991.
