Leslie A. Lane, 13, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Lane of Marshalltown, died Saturday, June 19, while playing softball.
A scripture service was conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, and funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Henry's Catholic Church, with burial at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Born Aug. 9, 1968, at Des Moines, she had completed eighth grade at Anson Junior High School. She was active in school band, chorus, basketball and track.
Survivors include her parents, Kenneth and Sharon Niedermann Lane; a sister, Valerie, at home; and her grandparents, Tillie Lane of Grinnell and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Niedermann of Toledo.
Pallbearers at Wednesday's funeral included Donald Lane, Joe Henry, Darrel Niedermann, Ronald Niedermann, Robert Bennett and Raymond Arp.
