FORMER LISCOMB WOMAN IS DEAD AT ST. LOUIS, MO.

LISCOMB --- (Special) --- A widely known former resident of the Liscomb communty, Mrs. J. C. Beeman, 75, died Sunday evening at the Christian Old People's Home in St. Louis, according to word received by her sister, Mrs. Earl Shepard of Conrad. The body will be brought to the Johnston Funeral Home in Conrad. MRS. BEEMAN, the former Lillie Rolfe, was the oldest of eight children of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rolfe, and was born at Lamont, May 19, 1877. She was married Oct. 11, 1899 to James C. Beeman, and they lived for 50 years on the old Beeman homestead northeast of Liscomb. Since the death of her husband July 2, 1949, Mrs. Beeman had her own trailer home and lived near her sons, John at Nevada and Glenn at Indianola, and later at St. Louis when they went into business there. She entered the church home this fall. During her residence in the Liscomb community Mrs. Beeman was active in the Christian Church and its organizations. Surviving are the two sons, Glenn and John at St. Louis, and four grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ivan Beeman lives in Laredo, Texas. Also surviving are seven sisters and brothers: Mrs. Earl Shepard of Conrad, Mrs. Charles Lillibridge of Oneida, Mrs. Floyd Drury of Fayette, Orin Rolfe of Ruskin, Fla., Fred of Oxford, Fla., Reuben of Cedar Rapids and Ransome of Walsworth, Wis.
