EDWARD BROWN, COLORED, DIES SUDDENLY SATURDAY

Edward F. Brown, 41, 814 South Center street, died Saturday night at 7 o'clock at the Evangelical Deaconess hospital. He became ill at home and died shortly after being taken to the hospital. Death was caused by coronary thrombosis. Mr. Brown was born on Aug. 23, 1903, in Des Moines the son of Frank and Cary Brown. He had worked at Swift & Company and Roberts & Oake and in Des Moines for the past 22 years. He is survived by his widow, two children, Donna Rae 4 years old, and Edward F. Jr., 14 months old. He is also survived by his father, Frank Brown, Sr., of Des Moines and three sisters and a brother, Sgt. Frank Brown, Jr., stationed at Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. Wilbur Brown and Mrs. Orville Johnson, both of Des Moines, and Miss Mary Brown of this city. He was a member of Eureka Lodge No. 20 A.F.&A.M of this city.
