ELLEN STEVESON IS DEAD AT 48; SERVICE IS SET

Mrs. Ellen M. Steveson, 48, 210 South Sixth street, died here at 1:45 p.m. Sunday of kidney and heart disease. Mrs. Steveson was born Nov. 22, 1900, in Pocatello, Idaho, the daughter of Benjamin and Eva Nelson Phillips. When she was 2, the family moved to Marshalltown. In 1922 she was married to Myrle Steveson and they lived in Marshalltown and Grinnell. RETURNED IN 1927 In 1927, Mrs. Steveson returned to Marshalltown and had since lived here. She was a member of the Baptist church, the W.C.T.U. and the American Legion auxiliary. Surviving are two sons, Archie P. and Richard E. Steveson; four brothers, Henry R., William, Benjamin Jr., and Peter N. Phillips, and her father, Benjamin Phillips, all living here. RITES SET WEDNESDAY Services will be at the Baptist church at 2 p.m. Wednesday in cahrge of Dr. Pieter Smit. Burial will be in Riverside. Friends may call at the Estel funeral home until 10 a.m. Wednesday.
