MRS. A. S. RICHARDS DIES AT HOME HERE

Mrs. Virginia Moran Richards, 83, a resident of this city for the past 62 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jim Elder, 1402 West Main street, at 4:10 Monday afternoon. She had been bedfast for the past five years. Death was caused by a heart ailment. Mrs. Richards was born Feb. 14, 1863, in Eldora. She lived there until her marriage on Sept. 16, 1885, to A. S. Richards. The following year they moved to Marshalltown and Mr. Richards died here Nov. 9, 1942. They were the parents of five children, three of whom survive their mother. They are J. H. Richards of Storm Lake, Mrs. Mable Holum of Des Moines, and Mrs. Elder. Also surviving are two brothers, Frank Moran of Dallas, Texas, and Eldon Moran of St. Louis, Mo., six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mrs. Richards was a member of the 7th Day Adventist church. Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Pursel funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside.
