MRS. CORDELIA A. NEISES DIES; WAS A CITY RESIDENT FOR 41 YEARS

Mrs. Cordelia Alice Neises, 408 West Main street, a resident of Marshalltown for 41 years, died at her home at 5:50 p.m. Monday. She had been in poor health for 14 months and death was of infirmities of age. She was born in Lake county, Indiana, April 15, 1853 and was married in 1870 to William Hayhurst. TO IOWA IN 1886 In 1886 they came west in a covered wagon and settled near Beaman. Later they lived in the Green Mountain neigborhood. Mr. Hayhurst died in 1891. They were the parents of five children. One died in infancy and a daughter, Mrs. Anna Moller died in 1925. Surviving are Mrs. Ida B. Stanley, Hayward, Calif.; Mrs. Doris LaPlant, San Antonio, Texas, and Edwin Hayhurst of Omaha, Neb. There are also eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Jane Madison of Waterloo. MARRIED IN 1897 She was married Sept. 28, 1897 to John W. Neises at Toledo and he died March 26, 1921. Mrs Neises has lived at her present address since 1909. She was a member of the Methodist church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Pursel funeral home in charge of Dr. A. J. Kindred. Burial will be in the Green Mountain cemetery.
