RONALD ANSON, FORMER RESIDENT, DIES IN OHIO

Ronald Anson, 29, a native and former resident of this city, died at a hospital in Warren, Ohio, Tuesday morning, according to word received here. He had been in poor health for over a year. Mr. Anson had been working for the J. C. Penney company, three years in Anderson, Ind., and one year in Warren, Ohio. He became ill while in Warren and came back here for the summer. He then went to Oelwein for seven months and then was taken to Rochester for treatment. Form there he came to St. Thomas Mercy hospital here and was a patient there for a short time and from there he was taken to the Iowa City hospital and then to Warren. He was born Dec. 29, 1912, in this city, the only son of Mrs. Cora Harter Anson, who died in 1917. He and his sister, Maxine Anson, who died April 27, 1933, made their home with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Harter. He is survived by his grandmothers, Mrs. Kate Harter, and Mrs. Emma Anson, his father, L. T. Anson, and a half-brother, Larry Dean Anson, and a half sister, Barbara Jean Anson, all of this city. The body will arrive in this city Wednesday afternoon accompanied by Mrs. Harter. It will remain at the Pursel funeral home until the time of the services, to be announced later.
