MISS LOLA SCOTT DIES FRIDAY

Miss Lola G. Scott, 67, former Marshalltown resident, died Friday morning at the Thompson Nursing Home in Des Moines. MISS SCOTT was born Feb. 19, 1889 in North Eaton, ohio, the daughter of Rev. W. H. and Mrs. Laura Burns Scott. Prior to coming to Marshalltown in 1899, the family lived in Urban and Lima, Ohio. Miss Scott attended the Marshalltown public schools and then attended Drake University and the State University of Iowa. She worked at the Toledo Juvenile Home, the Soldier's Orphans Home in Davenport and the Des Moines Home for the Aged. She was a member of the Christian Church. MISS SCOTT is survived by a brother, Winfield W. Scott of Des Moines, and two nephews, Thomas Scott, Des Moines and William B. Scott, Marshalltown. Services are pending at Pursel-Davis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
