MRS. HULIN IS DEAD AT 75; RITES MONDAY

Mrs. Julia Hulin, 75, a life-long resident of the Gilman community, died at Community Hospital in Grinnell Thursday afternoon where she had been taken earlier in the day. She was born Julia Ann Mock Oct. 18, 1879 in Ogle County, Illinois, the daughter of Martin and Martha Jones Mock. When she was five years old the family moved to a farm near Gliman and she had lived in that vicinity since then. ON FEB. 22, 1898 she was married to Charles Hulin and the couple farmed near Gilman. Preceding her in death were her husband in 1943, a son Lyle in January, 1952, two sisters and a brother. Surviving are two sons, Chester and Lauder of near Gilman, a daughter, Mrs. Lars Larson, 1309 E. Boone St. ALSO SURVIVING are two sisters and a brother, Miss Della Mock of Frederick, Maryland, Mrs. Bertha Doud of Ferguson and Harry Mock of New Hampton, along with 11 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Services will be held at the Gilman Community Church at 2 p.m. Monday in charge of the Rev W. Z. Henline and the Rev. Charles Winn. Burial will be in the Prairie View Cemetery. Friends may call at the Estel Funeral Home until 9:30 a.m. Monday.
