ARTHUR MEYERS DIES FRIDAY

Arthur D. Meyers, 58, 124 1/2 W. Main St., died Friday evening at University Hospital in Iowa City of cancer of the blood. He had been ill since July 25 and was taken to Iowa City Thursday. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Salvation Army chapel in charge of Major Gordon A. Wilson. Mr. Myers was born Jan. 25, 1899 in Ogle County, Ill. He was married to Muriel Hanson on May 19, 1923 in Des Moines. Since 1917 he had been employed at the Chicago and North Western Railroad freight house. Mr. Myers is survived by the widow; three sons, Stanley of Marshalltown, David of Sun Valley, Idaho, and Dale of Reno, Nev.; a brother Charles E. Myers of Marshalltown, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Jones of Lyle, Minn.
