JOHN W. LHAMON, 79, IS DEAD IN CHICAGO

John William Lhamon, 79, former Marshalltown resident, died at his home in Chicago, Ill., Saturday night. He was born in Liscomb and lived in that community until his marriage to Flora Denbow in Albion 35 years ago. He lived in Marshalltown until 1923 when he moved to Bloomington, Ill., and later to Chicago, Ill. His wife died in 1923. Survivors include seven children, Mrs. Lillian Loney and Archie Lhamon, both of Bloomington, Ill.; Mrs. William C. Weaver, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. William Halsted, Des Moines; William of Chicago, Ill.; Vernon of Peoria, Ill., and Mrs. Clarence Peterson of Marshalltown. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters, Fred of Clemons; Mrs. Francis Fink, Orchard; Mrs. P. H. Hilsabeck, Spencer; Mrs. Eva May Dinger, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Myrtle Stevens, Forbes, N.D.; Mrs. Minnie Jamison, Hayward, Calif., and Mrs. Raymond Davis, Beloit, Wis.; 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Services will be held at the Pursel funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Riverside.
