M. S. ADAMEK, POLAND NATIVE, IS DEAD AT 72

Michael S. Adamek, 72, 420 Swazye street, died at 6:55 a.m. Monday at Evangelical Deaconess hospital where he had been a patient since Nov. 23. Death was of asthma and complications. Mr. Adamek was born Sept. 8, 1876 in Kolo, Poland, the son of Joseph and Anna Bilinska Adamek. MARRIED IN POLAND He grew to manhood in Poland and married Stella Wiecorek there in 1902. They came to the United States in 1904 and settled in Chicago, Ill. They came to Marshalltown 41 years ago and since that time had lived here and in the Timber Creek neighborhood. He was employed for about 15 years at the Marshalltown Manufacturing company. 5 CHILDREN SURVIVE Surviving besides the widow, are three daughters and two sons, Mrs. George Nespor of San Gabriel, Calif.; Mrs. John Earhart, recently of this city and now living in Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. Victor Schmidt of Marshalltown; John of Cedar Rapids and Edward of Alidena, Calif. Four sisters and three brothers who live in Poland and nine grandchildren survive. Services will be at the Estel funeral home at 3 p.m. Friday in charge of Dr. Pieter Smit. Burial will be in Riverside.
