MRS. ARNEY, 89, DIES; SERVICES AT LAKE CITY

Mrs. Frank W. Arney, 89, whose home was a mile north of Marshalltown, died at Evangelical Hospital at 2:30 a.m. Monday. She had been hospitalized 10 days. SERVICES WILL be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lake City with burial there. Mrs. Arney was born at Marshalltown Oct. 11, 1866, a daughter of William and Elizabeth Steward. SHE ATTENDED Grinnell College and taught school in Marshalltown before her marriage in 1891. Following the death of her husband and a daughter, she returned to Marshalltown. Surviving are a son, Byron F. (Bill) Arney, Battle Creek; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Steriling, Asheville, N.C. and Mrs. Jean Bandy, Moab, Utah; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
