F. A. YETLEY, FORMER LOCAL RESIDENT, DEAD

F. A. Yetley, a former resident of Marshalltown, died Tuesday Dec. 5, at his home near Eldorado, Kan., according to word received by relatives here. Messages to relatives were brief and did not state the cause of death. Mr. Yetley, about 68 years old, was a native of Marshalltown, a son of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Yetley, pioneer residents of Marshalltown. He left here 22 or 23 years ago and had since made his home in Kansas, where he had been engaged in farming. He is survived by his widow, two daughters and a son. The three children, all married, are living in the neighborhood of Eldorado. C. J. Yetley of Marshalltown is a brother, and Mrs. Harriet Bailey, Mrs. Ida LaPlant and Mrs. Lillian Bates, all of this city, are sisters. Mr. Yetley was a member of the Maccabees lodge of Marshalltown.

NOTE: This obituary may very well be for Samuel Oliver Yetley who was born 30 Apr 1871 in Marshall County (son of Christian J. and Elizabeth Harman Yetley) and died 06 Dec 1939 in Kansas. He is buried in Blankenship Cemetery, Butler County, KS.
