LIFELONG STATE CENTER RESIDENT DIES FRIDAY

State Center---(Special)---Louis W. Hartwig, 78, a life long resident of State Center, died at the home of his son, Earl Hartwig, here Friday night at 8 o'clock. Death was due to heart disease. Mr. Hartwig was born in State Center July 18, 1964, and was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Lutheran church during his childhood. He married Miss Ella Niedert in St. John's chuch by Rev. A. J. Boehn. Survivors are the six children, Lawrence of Marshalltown, Mrs. Ivadel Oehlson, Orville Hartwig and Earl Hartwig of State Center, Mrs. Margaret Sommers of Toledo and Harold Hartwig of Elma. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Brimhall-West funeral home and at 2 o'clock at St. John's Lutheran church, conducted by Rev. George Perlich. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery.
