MRS. WIMMER, FORMER COUNTY RESIDENT, DIES

Albion---(Special)---Relatives have learned of the death of Mrs. Anna Wimmer, 81, at her home in Liberal, Mo., Jan. 4 Burial was Friday at Lamar,Mo. Mrs. Wimmer, daughter of John and Rebecca McKibben, was born on a farm north of Albion and moved to Missouri as a girl. She was married to O. P. Wimmer June 1, 1891. Surviving are the widower, three sons and two daughters. Two brothers and one sister. Mrs. Ellen Bufton and J. Rawlin McKibben of Kansas City, Mo., and Harley McKibben of Sacramento, Calif.

Liberal, Jan. 4---Mrs. Anna Wimmer, 81, died at 6:55 a.m. yesterday morning at her home in Liberal. She had been ill since June 10, 1949, when she suffered a stroke. Mrs. Wimmer was born Dec. 18, 1868 at Albion, Ia., and had been a resident of the Liberal district since 1904. She attended both Warrensburg Teachers College and Lamar College. Mrs. Wimmer held memberships in the Order of the Eastern Star, the Christian church and the Liberal American Legion post auxillary. Surviving is the widower, O. P. Wimmer of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Meyers of Mt. Vernon, N.Y., and Mrs. Dorothy Fleisher of Cleveland; three sons, A. N. Wimmer and Paul Wimmer of Liberal and Dr. W. S. Wimmer of Cherokee; a sister, Mrs. Ellen Bufton of Kansas City, two brothers, E. H. McKibben of Sacramento and J. R. McKibben of Kansas City; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Liberal Christian church with Rev. G. W. Corporon of Arcadia officiating. Burial will be in the Lake cemetery at Lamar. The body is at the Konants chapel at Lamar.
