BURNARD GEORGE PULL DIES SUDDENLY AT HOME

Burnard George Pull, 34 1/2 West Main street died suddenly at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. He had been up and around as usual Monday. He fell Sunday but did not suffer any ill effects from the fall. He was born Feb. 19, 1870, at Forreston, Ill., a son of Otto and Tillie Pull. At the age of three years, the family came to Iowa settling on a farm near Van Cleve. A year later they moved to Logan Center. On Feb. 22, 1893, he married Pearl Crookshank in this city. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Pull moved to the William Preston farm near Logan Center and later to Lincoln where he operated a hardware store. He then became associated with his brother T. H. Pull in the hardware business in Melbourne, where they operated for a number of years. Mr. Pull established the electric light service and the telephone company at Melbourne which he operated until the former was purchased by the Iowa Electric Light and Power company. He had been a resident of Marshalltown since 1920. Surviving are Mrs. Pull, a son, Otto, the brother T. H. Pull, all of Marshalltown, five grandchildren and one nephew. He was a member of the First Methodist church of this city. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Estel funeral home in charge of Dr. F. F. Travis.
