BOTTS FUNERAL SET SATURDAY; LISCOMB BURIAL

Services for Mrs. Lucille Botts, 64, 506 E. Linn St., who died at her home Wednesday morning following a year's illnes will be from Estel-Perrin Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday in charge of the Rev. Phillip R. Anderson. Burial will be in Liscomb Cemetery. The body will be taken to the family home Thursday afternoon where it will remain until 10 a.m. Saturday. She was born Lucille Catherine Gately June 25, 1889 in Liscomb, the daughter of Richard and Melissa Weatherly Gately. She received her education in the Liscomb schools, and married James L. Botts. The couple farmed in northern Iowa and Minnesota until moving to Marshalltown in 1923 where she had since resided. PRECEDING HER in death were her husband in 1942, two children in infancy and three brothers. Mrs. Botts was a member of Marshall Rebekah Lodge No. 40, VFW Auxillary No. 839, served as first president of the Amvets Auxillary No. 25, and was a past president of the Women's Relief Corps No. 9, and Eagles Auxillary No. 431. Surviving are five children Mrs. Leo Chinberg, Sheffield, James, State Center, Mrs. William Martens, Cecil and Harold Botts all of Marshalltown. ALSO SURVIVING are 10 grandchildren, a great grandchild, three sisters and a brother, Mrs. Josephine Egerton, Dundee, Ill., Mrs. Maude Woodruff, Sand Point, Idaho, Mrs. John Hauptly, Elgin, Ill. and George Gately of Marshalltown. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society.
