Mrs. Edna Kate Montgomery Moler, 74, 210 E. Webster St., died at Evangelical Hospital early Sunday where she had been a patient since Nov. 16. She had been in failing health for a number of years. She was born Oct. 21, 1878 in Marshall County, the daughter of John Henry and Cynthia Ann Graham Montgomery, pioneer residents of this county. She grew to womanhood here and attended the rural schools of Taylor Township. She also attended the old Albion Seminary. IN 1899 SHE was married to Charles Allen Moler, and the couple spent all of their married life farming in this county with the exception of three years in Texas. Mrs. Moler was a member of the Christian Church. Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, two children in infancy, a brother and sister. SURVIVING ARE five children, J. V. Moler, Mt. Prospect, Ill., Mrs. Glenn Morr, Des Moines, Mrs. F. D. Collogan, Cedar Rapids, Clifford M., Route 1, and Willard J, of Marshalltown. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. L. M. Keefer of Marshalltown, 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Estel Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Orval E. Walker. Burial will be in Riverside.
