FRANK KOVARIK DIES IN LOCAL HOSPITAL

Frank Kovarik, 63, 203 Helm street, died Sunday at 10:45 p.m. at St. Thomas Mercy hospital where he had been a patient the past three months. He was born Nov. 25, 1881, in Marshalltown, the son of John and Mary Kovarik, and lived here all his life. On Aug. 12, 1920, he married Mary Zdrazil in this city. He had been a machinist for 23 years with the M. & St. L. He was a member of the Maccabee lodge. Mr. Kovarik was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Frank John Kovarik, who died April 18, 1922. He his survived by his widow and one sister, Mrs. Charles Haas of Marshalltown. The body was removed to the Wagner funeral home where it will remain until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and then be taken to his home, where St. Elizabeth society will recite the rosary at 3 p.m. The public rosary will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's church. Burial will be in Riverside.
