RITES PENDING FOR MRS. HARMS

Services for Mrs. John F. Harms, 47, 206 N. 3rd St., who died Friday, are pending at Pursel-Davis Funeral Home. Mrs. Harms suffered a stroke at 11 a.m. Friday at her home and died at 3:30 p.m. at Evangelical Hospital. SHE WAS born June 4, 1909 near Mt. Jackson, Va., the daughter of William and Cora Miller. Her parents died when she was a child and she was reared in the home of Mrs. Emma Miller who lived for a time at Melbourne. They later moved to Gladbrook where she lived until 1942 following her marriage Nov 7, 1928 to John F. Harms. Surviving are the widower, her aunt, Mrs. Emma Miller, and three sons, Gerrold, Monte William and Benjamin Carlton, and two grandchildren, all of Marshalltown. MRS. HARMS is also survived by two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Al Burbage and Melvin Miller of Arlington, Va., Mrs. Aubie Lindemood of Mt. Jackson, Va., and Earl Miller of Grinnell. She was a member of the Marshalltown Methodist Church and the OES Chapter of Gladbrook.
