FUNERAL HELD THURSDAY FOR FRED H. P. HOWARD

Funeral services for Fred H. P. Howard, grandson of Marshall county pioneers, who died July 1 at his home in Chicago, Ill., were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Albion Presbyterian church. Burial was in the family lot in Bangor cemetery. Mr. Howard was a cousin of Mrs. H. W. Moninger, 306 North First street. The body was brought to the Estel funeral home here early Wednesday. Mr. Howard was born Oct. 6, 1876, at Yankton, S.D., the son of A. W. and Laura Hambleton Howard. In 1890 the family moved to Chicago where he spent the rest of his life. He was married to Miss Edith Weaver in 1920, and she preceded him in death in 1941. Mr. Howard was a nephew of the late Evangeline Hambleton of Albion. Only surviving relatives are cousins, among whom are J. R. Howard of Liberty township, Henry Kinzer of Bangor and Mrs. E. D. Herron of Union. His grandparents came from Ohio in 1855 and settled in Liberty and Minerva townships.
