Services for W. B. (Bloom) Trowbridge, 53, will be at 2 p.m., Monday from the Avey Funeral Home with burial in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. He died Friday at Mercy Hospital and had been in failing health for several years. MR. TROWBRIDGE was born at Iola, Kan., Dec. 22, 1901, the son of Charles and Ann Stevens Trowbridge and came to Marshalltown with his family in 1911. For several years he was a barber at the Masonic Temple Barber Shop. In 1919 he was married to Laura Cooley in Des Moines. She preceded him in death on Feb. 20, 1939. His father, one sister and two brothers also preceded him in death. SURVIVORS INCLUDE a daughter, Edith Gayle Trowbridge, Marshalltown, a son, James, Haverhill, and his mother, Mrs. Ann Trowbridge, also of Marshalltown. Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. L. A. Clemens, Modesto, Calif., Mrs. Alice Shaller, Coyeville, Kan.; three brothers, Fred, Wichita, Kan.; Sam, Cedar Falls, and Don, Marshalltown. Two grandchildren also survive.
