WILLIAM ESTERS TAKES OWN LIFE EARLY FRIDAY

The death of William G. Esters, 63, of 1502 Doty St., was termed a suicide Friday morning by Dr. Harold Sauer, Marshall County coroner. Information released by the Marshall County Sheriff's office stated Esters took his own life in a machine shed at the rear of the residence on Doty Street by shooting himself with a shotgun. TIME OF DEATH was placed at 7:45 a.m. by Sheriff Asa Landes. He was born Dec. 15, 1891 at Marion, Iowa, the son of Jacob and Anna [Gruner] Esters. When he was 11 years old the family moved to Kansas where he received his education and grew to manhood. He attended the Manhatten Kansas Agricultural College and also Harvard College. ON FEB. 16, 1935 he was married to Marcella Mowry at Waterloo. They made their home near Grundy Center before moving to Marshall County and Marshalltown eight years ago. He is survived by the widow. Services are pending at the Estel-Perrin Funeral Home where friends may call for further information.

Note: Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Marshalltown.
