ELIZABETH JORDAN DIES AT AGE OF 84

Miss Elizabeth Jordan, 84, 601 E. Linn St., died at Mercy Hospital at 5:40 a.m. Friday. She was born July 19, 1871. Miss Jordan taught school for 35 years in Chicago and came to Marshalltown when she retired 20 years ago. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth Society and St. Mary's Study Club. She has no survivors. Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Mary, in 1944. The body is at the Avey Funeral Home where the St. Elizabeth Society will say the Rosary at 4 p.m. Sunday followed by a public Rosary at 8 p.m. Requiem High Mass will be at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Church and burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
