R. J. EIBS OF LAUREL DIES; RITES TUESDAY

Rhinehart J. Eibs, a resident of the Laurel vacinity all of his life, died at 12:05 p.m. Saturday at Evangelical Hospital. Hospitalized for more than two weeks, he suffered a stroke when he returned to his home Aug. 17 and was brought back to the hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church west of Laurel and burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Russell Miller will be in charge. MR. EIBS WAS born April 23, 1875 near Laurel, the son of Jurgen and Dorothy Eibs. He was a farmer and was active in the work of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church west of Laurel where he was a member of the church board and other organizations for a number of years. He was married to Emma Damman Sept. 11, 1901, at the Horn Evangelical Church. Surviving are the widow, a daughter, Miss Isabelle Eibs at home, a son, Ivan of Laurel, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. THREE BROTHERS, Ralph and Herman of Haverhill, and Edward of Baxter, also survive. Four sisters preceded him in death. Friends may call at the Pursel-Davis Funeral Home until Tuesday morning.
