TILLIE GRALNEK

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa -- Tillie Gralnek, 90, of Marshalltown died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005, at her residence.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Sioux City. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.

Tillie was born Sept. 9, 1915, in Marshalltown, the daughter of Kalman and Tova (Kastelman) Gralnek. She was a life-long resident of Marshalltown, where she attended Marshalltown High School. She worked as a payroll clerk and bookkeeper at Fisher Governor and Coopers in Marshalltown for around 45 years.

She belonged to the Marshalltown synagogue and organizations while it existed. She loved to embroider.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews and their children including former Sioux City residents, Tim Klass, Marilyn Weissman, Susan Karon, Kay Klass and Kalman Klass.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and eight brothers and sisters.

Memorials may be directed to the Iowa River Hospice or a Jewish charity of choice.
