Quincy D. Early, Negro, died at the Iowa Soldiers Home hospital at 6:30 a.m. Saturday. The cause of death was carcinoma. He was admitted to the home November, 1926, from Polk county. He was born Oct. 13, 1873, at Albia and served in Co. M Seventh regiment U.S. volunteer infantry, from July 1, 1898, to Feb. 28, 1899. He was discharged at Macon, Ga., due to disability. He was married to Mrs. Emma Flippings, May 4, 1933, at the Iowa Soldiers Home. Surviving are Mrs. Early, one sister and one brother, Mrs. Viola Hall and Arthur Early of Des Moines and one step-son, Cpl. Harold Flippings of Tuskegee air field, Ala. Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Monday morning at the Iowa Soldiers home chapel in charge of the chaplain, Rev. C. H. Van Metre. Burial will be in the Iowa Soldiers Home cemetery.
