Marshalltown, IA [7-7-1944] p. 5MRS. ROY WELCH DIES AFTER FOUR-YEAR ILLNESS
Mrs. Roy Welch died at her home, 805 1/2 South Third avenue, at 3:50 p.m. Thursday after an illness of four years. She was born Beatrice Catherine Musil, youngest daughter of Frank and Josephine Musil, Jan. 8, 1899, in Marshalltown. She attended St. Mary's schools and later was employed by the Marshall Oil company. She was married to Roy Welch, Oct. 19, 1920 in this city. Surviving are Mr. Welch; one son and three daughters, William F. , Geraldine and Patricia Welch, at home, and Wave Yvonne Welch, stationed at San Diego, Calif.; her father, Frank Musil; two brothers and five sisters, Fred Musil, Mrs. Frank Dudek, Mrs. Emil Schelding, Mrs. James Schultz, all of Marshalltown, Frank Musil of Vicksburg, Miss., and Mrs. Walter Wagner of Cornell, Wis. Her mother died in this city, March 24, 1942. Mrs. Welch was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and St. Mary's P.T.A. The body was removed to the Estel funeral home awaiting word from the daughter in California.
