WILLIAM ROUSE DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS

William Rouse, 1203 West Boone street, died at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Marshall county hospital where he had been a patient since June 2. He had been in failing health for the past two years. Born Oct. 12, 1876, at Balston Spa, N.Y., he was the son of Horace and Lefa Rouse. Before coming to Marshalltown in 1907, he was married to Jennie Belle Morris. The couple made their home at 1205 West Main street for many years before moving to the present home at 1203 West Boone street. For a number of years Mr. Rouse operated a dairy here. Surviving is an only son, Tod Rouse of this city; Mrs. Rouse died July 29, 1940, and a brother Frank also preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Estel funeral home with Rev. P. G. Dennis, pastor of the Central Church of Christ, in charge. Burial will be in the family lot in Riverside.
