I. LINCOLN NICHOLS, 77, DIES AT HOME HERE

I. Lincoln Nichols, 77, 208 North Fifteenth street, died at his home Monday morning at 6:30 after an illness of two weeks. He has been suffering with heart disease for a number of years. Mr. Nichols was born in Warren county, Illinois, March 4, 1867 the son of Wilson and Rachel Nichols. He lived there and in Monmouth, Ill., until a young man. He then traveled to different parts of the country as a well driller with the Artesian Well company. He was married in Monmouth May 31, 1892, to Miss Lucy Palmer. They moved to Mason City where Mr. Nichols worked for four years. He came to this city Oct. 1, 1910, and went to work for the C. A. Dunham company as millright foreman and later was in the maintenance department. Mrs. Nichols died in September 1894. They were the parents of two children, Harry E. Nichols of Ames and Mrs. Eugene Stewart of New Orleans, La. He is also survived by his sister, Annabel Nichols, who kept his home since the death of his wife. Also surviving are five grandchildren, three of whom are in the armed services. He was a member of Marshall lodge No. 108, A. F. & A. M., Signet chapter No. 38, R. A. M., King Solomon council No. 20, R. & S. M. and Beeson camp No. 385, Modern Woodmen of America. Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 at the Pursel funeral home in charge of Dr. F. F. Travis. Burial will be in Riverside.
