State Center---(Special)---Funeral services for J. B. Anselme, 78, farmer in Minerva township many years who died at his home here Sunday evening, will be held at St. John's Lutheran church north of State Center Thursday at 2 p.m. Rev. George H. Perlich will be in charge. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery. Brief prayer services will be held at the home at 1:30 p.m. John Baptist Anselme was born Sept. 23, 1868, in Minerva township, son of Joseph and Mary Anselme. He continued to live in that neighborhood until 1942 when he retired and moved to State Center. He married Hannah Schuler Nov. 17, 1884. He had been in failing health for the last few years, but death was due to a fall Aug. 23, which resulted in a broken hip. Mr. Anselme is survived by his widow, four children and 17 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The sons and daughter are Elmer of Iowa Falls, Ralph of State Center, Herbert of Nevada and Mrs. Isaac Berry of Albion. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mary Helin and Mrs. Cecilia Hensberger, both of State Center.
