Geneva Mae Ricci "Gene" passed away peacefully on December 26, 2005 after a long illness. She was born in Clemons Grove, Iowa on March 7, 1923 to Lyle and Erma (Collier) Perry. During World War II she worked as a welder at Marin Ship. She was also employed by Wells Fargo Bank. Gene met and married her husband Tony in 1944. They enjoyed a long and eventful marriage, celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary in 2004 at a party with friends and family. She loved to travel and dance and was an avid bowler. Gene enjoyed boating with the family and lunching with her friends. She played piano and had an amazing writing talent. Gene loved her family more than words can say, flirted with her husband to the end, and considered her daughters to be her greatest achievement. She is survived by husband Anthony, of Novato, daughters Melinda Aguilar of Novato and Susan Hardin of Centennial, Colorado, grandchildren Ross and Bryce Hardin of Centennial, Colorado and Vanessa Luna of Novato, brothers Dick Perry of Marshalltown, Iowa and Stan Perry of Lenexa, Kansas, as well as sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Avery Perry, who passed away in 1981. She will be missed by many. A celebration of Gene's life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2006 from 11-2 at the Inn Marin banquet room, 250 Entrada Drive, Novato. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Adobe House in San Rafael or Hospice of Marin.
