JACKIE CROSS BLINK

Jackie Cross Blink, 48, of Rhodes died of cancer Thursday, Oct. 10, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center, where she had been employed as a nurse.

The Funeral Mass was celebrated Sunday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton, with the Rev. Ernest Braida officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Rhodes, with the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home of Newton in charge of arrangements.

She was the daughter of Donald and Mary McKinney Kilker and was born April 5, 1948, in Marshalltown. She was a graduate of West Marshall High School in Marshalltown and later received her degree in nursing.

She was married to Sam Cross Aug. 29, 1968, in Newton. Mr. Cross died in 1977. She was married to Robert Blink April 21, 1990, in Newton.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Surviving are her husband, Robert; three sons, Jeffrey Cross of Sayreville, N.J., Gregory Cross of Silverdale, Wash., and Michael Cross of Ankeny; three stepsons, Jerry Blink of Rhodes, Carl Blink of State Center and Andy Blink of New Providence; three step-grandchildren; five brothers, Tom Kilker of State Center, Ronald Kilker of Adel, Richard Kilker of West Des Moines, David Kilker of Marshalltown and Gary Kilker of Swansboro, N.C.; two sisters, Donna Nims of Urbandale and Geraldine Clifton of Leavenworth, Texas; and her mother.

She was preceded in death by her father, her first husband and her grandparents.

Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the cardiac rehabilitation program at Grinnell Regional Medical Center.
