One of his biggest joys in life were spending many countless hours talking about and playing with his many grandchildren whom he greatly adored and loved with all of his heart.
Todd’s first love was being a longtime Biker; it was never about the destination, but about the journey along the highway to see all the people, places, and to ride with his brothers. Todd also had great interest in raising hogs, surfing, scuba diving, playing drums, listening to music, watching movies and cartoons with the grandkids, and playing with his beloved dogs Remi, Baxter, CeCe Rider, and Hera.

Todd is survived by his wife, Lori Jean Kirschbaum of Marshalltown, Ia., his children Damon (Samantha) Kirschbaum of Houston, Texas, Andrea (Ficken) Thompson (Nicholas Davis) of Maquoketa, Ia., Michael Ficken of Marshalltown, Ia., Mistrey Ficken (Mike Beach) of Gladbrook, Ia. He was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Arthur Kirschbaum and Dr. Nylene Eckles (Kirschbaum) and a brother Lyn Eckles.

Our Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend…
Always Remember, “Ride Free, Live Free.” up there in Heaven.
“Our Liberties We Prize and Our Rights We Will Maintain.”

God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you
and whispered, "Come to Me".
With tearful eyes we watched you
and saw you pass away
and although we love you dearly
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
His timing is the best.
