Shelly (Peak) Hoop died June 5, 2011 at the Iowa River Hospice House, Marshalltown IA.

Born March 16, 1968 in Marshalltown
Parents: Mike and Debra (Erwin) Peak
Graduated from Marshalltown High School, class of 1986, and from Iowa State University with a degree in accounting.

Employed at Principal Financial in Des Moines.
Member of First Baptist Church in Marshalltown.

She treasured her son Alax and was blessed to be a part of his graduation at the end of May 2011 from MHS.

She enjoyed scrapbooking, receiving nourishment in her faith from her church family, doing bible study, her pets (cat Tiger) and time with family and friends. Even on her long journey with cancer she never gave up a positive attitude and a smile for others. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors: son Alex; parents: Debra (Dale) Shepard of Marshalltown, Mike Peak of the Iowa Veterans' Home; sister Angie Leavy of Ankeny; grandparents Charles and Joan Erwin of Marshalltown; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by: her grandma and grandpa Peak.
