SERVICES SET THURSDAY FOR MRS. ARNEY

Services for Mrs. Minnie Arney, 93, former Albion resident, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Avey Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. James K. Delahooke, in charge. Burial will be in the Bethel Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Arney died at 12:35 p.m. Monday at the Kuper Nursing Home where she had resided for five years. She was born Jan. 9, 1874, near Liscomb, the daughter of Elvin and Martha Fiscus Hilsabeck, and was married at the home of her parents on Nov. 7, 1894, to Wilkie W. Arney. Mr. Arney died July 31, 1925, and she was also preceded in death by one daughter, three sisters and four brothers. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ray M. (Lotia) Sheeley of Marshalltown and Mrs. Dean (Rena) Johnson of Liscomb; one brother, Cliz Hilsabeck of Marshalltown, three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The family requests that memorial be directed to the Albion Methodist Church of which she was a member. Mrs. Arney was also a life member of the Albion Rebekahs and had held several offices.
