Lois (Bessman) Moore of Green Mountain IA died January 16, 2011 at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center in Marshalltown IA.

Born September 18, 1930 at Alden IA
Parents: George & Marie (Willig) Bessman
Graduated from Wellsburg High School
Attended Elmhurst College and Evangelical School of Nursing. Graduated with nursing degree in 1953.
Retired from Iowa Veterans Home.

Married Robert Moore April 11, 1954.
Faithful & dedicated member of United Church of Christ, leading the latest church directory effort.
Past member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Loved her family and dedicated her life to them. Whether volunteering for Green Mountain Little League Baseball or cooking family meals, she set an example to live by for her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles.

Surviving: husband of 56 years, Robert

Children: George (Marlene) of Evans GA,
Robert (Sheryl) of Santa Rosa CA,
Susan Moore of Cedar Falls IA,
Sara (Eric) Paar of Marshalltown,
Greg (Sandy) of Toledo IA, and
Lee (Heather) of Cedar Rapids IA;

and 15 grandchildren.
