Ronald A. State died January 17, 2011 at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha IA following an extended illness.

Born April 15, 1964 at Marshalltown IA.
Parents: Gaylen & Dorothy (Watne) State.
Served his nation in National Guard.

Married to Brenda Kay Buser September 7, 1985 in Atkins IA.
Employed at Roberts Dairy for twenty-six years, as transportation manager for last ten years.

Enjoyed camping and fishing. Hard worker and family man. Wonderful husband, father and grandpa.

Survived by: wife Brenda of Atkins; two sons, Jeremy (Breannon) State and Ryan (Alysha) State, all of Cedar Rapids; daughter Melissa (Alex) Holmes of Atkins; grandson Carter Holmes; mother Dorothy State of Marshalltown; three brothers Jeff (Debbie) State of Alden IA, Dennis State of Rhodes IA, and his twin Donald State of Marshalltown; three sisters Donna (Brad) Parker of Weatherford TX, Susan State and LeAnn (Harlan) Siemens, all of Marshalltown.

Preceded in death by: father Gaylen and brother Brian.

Buried at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
