Lyle Earl Wolken, 85, Marshalltown, died January 13, 2011 at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center.

Buried with Flag Presentation Honors at Dillon Cemetery.

Born April 8, 1925 in rural Dillon IA.
Parents: Arthur and Rose (Nuese) Wolken

Married Frances Olson September, 1950.

Participated in Army occupation of Germany in World War I.
Farmed for many years. Upon retirement he moved to Marshalltown where he worked as a courier.

Faithful, supporting member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Dillon. Very active in adult Bible studies.

Survived by Frances,wife of 60 years; two daughters, Rosemary (Jim) Coody, and Betty Wolken, both of Colorado; two sisters, Fern Thompson of Marshalltown and Gale Wolken of State Center.

Preceded in death by parents and two brothers, Richard and Wesley.
