FORMER RESIDENT DIES; SERVICES HERE WEDNESDAY

Mrs. Leonard Griggs, 75, former Marshall County resident, died in Rolling Prairie, Ind., Saturday evening, where she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Gus Banzhaf. BORN MYRTLE Denbow, Jan. 12, 1884, in Marshall County, she was the daugher of Sylvester and Rilla Denbow. She received her education and grew to womanhood in the Bethel Grove community. On April 22, 1903, she was married to Leonard Griggs. They farmed for several years in the Bethel Grove community prior to moving to Sioux Falls, S.D., and for the last 12 years they have made their home in Rolling Prairie. Mr. and Mrs. Griggs observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1953. SURVIVING are her widower and one daughter, Mrs. Banzhaf. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Lloyd Harmon, Sioux Falls, S.D., and numberous distant relatives. Services will be from the chapel at Estel-Perrin Funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Bethel Grove cemetery.

MRS. LEONARD GRIGGS GIVEN FINAL RITES

Services for Mrs. Leonard Griggs, 75, former Marshall County resdient who died in Rolling Prairie, Ind., last Saturday evening where she had made her home for the last 12 years were held from the Estel-Perrin Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in charge of the Rev. Ben Harris, Union. Burial was in Bethel Grove Cemetery. Bearers were Arthur Miller, Willard Wells, Elvis Fiscus, Jess May, Floyd Fiscus and Howard Hart.
