Edna B. Lamb Thayer, 86, of Iowa Falls died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 1996 at Heritage Care Center, Iowa Falls.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church, Iowa Falls, with the Rev. Steven Hill officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memory Gardens, Iowa Falls. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Surls Funeral Home, Iowa Falls. Memorials may be directed to Loyd Thayer, 1609 Edgington Ave., Eldora.

She was born April 18, 1909 in Hardin County to George and Eda Fiddler Lamb. She attended Poseyville country school.

She married Harry A. Thayer July 1, 1926 in Grundy Center. She worked at Ellsworth Turkey Plants, Boyt's and was custodian at Bethel Baptist Church. She had been at Heritage Care for 23 years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and Hardin County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include two daughters, Margie Feuring and Mary Ann Baago, both of Clear Lake; three sons, Loyd of Eldora, Roy of Texas and Lyle of Marshalltown; 26 grandchildren; 43 great-children; and a brother, Bill Lamb of Red Bluff, Calif.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Fay and Darrell Lamb; and three grandchildren.
