J. F. Grace, 75, Dies At Albion; County Pioneer

ALBION ---(Special)--- J. F. Grace, 75, a resident of Albion for 65 years, died suddenly at 11:55 p.m. Friday at his home. He had been in failing health for several years but his death was unexpected. Mr. Grace was born July 3, 1877 in Marshall County, the son of John and Mary Arney Grace. He was married Jan. 16, 1900 to Elva Wilkinson near Liscomb. He served as constable at Albion for 20 years and was a member of the Methodist Church there. Mr. Grace was also a member of the Masonic lodge. Survivors include the widow, a daughter, Mrs. Howard Bunting of Long Beach, Calif., two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and four half sisters, Mrs. J.W. Leonard, Lost Nation; Mrs Ben East, Albion; Mrs. John Dickkut, Route 3, and Mrs. Clarence Buihner, Kellogg. Services will be at 1:40 p.m. at the Avey Funeral Home in Marshalltown with the Rev. C. E. Luce of Waterloo in charge, assisted by the Rev. C. W. Cleveland of Albion. Burial will be in Bethel Grove Cemetery with Masonic services at the grave.
