Mrs. Matilda Turner Dies Early Tuesday

Mrs. Matilda J. Turner, 82, a native of this county, died at her home 5 1/2 miles northwest of Albion early Tuesday morning. She had been ill only a short time. Death was due to heart complications following a heavy cold.
Mrs. Turner was born September 30, 1860, 3 1 / 2 miles south of Marshalltown on the Center Street Road, the daughter of William and Rebecca Hilsabeck, pioneers of this county. She was married 48 years ago February 28 to A. I. Turner at the home of Rev. Isaac Macy, five miles south of Marshalltown. Except for one year in Springdale, Arkansas, she has lived all of her life in this county. Mr. Turner died 19 years ago.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John C. Hilsabeck who lives on the home place, also a sister, Mrs. Ellen Bellus, south and west of this city, a grandson Duane Hilsabeck, at home, and a foster son Morris Biddle of Ferguson.
Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Pursel Funeral Home and burial will be in the Timber Creek Cemetery.
