Mrs. Cora Hilsabeck Dies at Ferguson

Ferguson, (Special) Mrs. Cora A. Hilsabeck died at her home here at 4:45 p. m. Saturday after an illness of three months. She had been in failing health for the past year.
Mrs. Hilsabeck was born April 17, 1859, in Decatur County, Minnesota, a daughter of Thadius and Mary Howe. When she was 12 years old her family moved to Missouri where she lived a year before coming to Marshall County.
She was married to Isaac E. Hilsabeck, February 3, 1878 at Timber Creek.
Surviving are, two sons and four daughters, Mrs. Enona Berry of Newton, A. L. Hilsabeck and Mrs. Nellie Binkley and Mrs. A. W. Harrington of Marshalltown, Mrs. Morris Biddle of Ferguson and W. F. Hilsabeck of Saskatchewan, Canada; four brothers, John L. Howe of Ferguson, D. D. Howe of California, Chancy M. Howe of Herronton, Alta, Canada, and Russell C. Howe of Ontario, California, two sisters, Mrs. Effie M. Smith and Mrs. Avis A. Ferguson of Ferguson; 32 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hilsabeck died July 25, 1934 at Ferguson and a son died September 2, 1897 at the age of 3 years. Mrs. Hilsabeck joined the Christian Church when a young woman.
The body will remain at the Estel Funeral Home in Marshalltown where services will be held at 2:00 o’clock.
